Processing day is organized chaos. You've got cattle in the pen, a crew at the chute, vaccines in the cooler, a brand heater going, and 150 head to get through before lunch. The last thing anyone wants to do is stop between every animal to write down what just happened.

Cattle360's Workings feature is built for exactly this. It's the digital version of running cattle through the chute — you define what needs to be done, load in your animals, and work through them one by one. Every task you complete is automatically recorded on the animal's permanent record.

What Is a Working?

A Working brings together a group of animals, a set of tasks, and a processing workflow — moving through animals one at a time, marking each task as complete or skipped.

Setting Up a Working

Create the working with a name and date. Add animals from groups, pastures, or individually. Define tasks: Treatment, Castration, Brand, De-horn, or Note. Set default parameters and task order.

Processing Day: Running the Working

Click Start Working. For each animal, Complete or Skip each task. Navigate with Next/Prior or scan an EID tag. Every completed treatment creates a permanent record on the animal's profile.

Completing the Working

When all animals are processed, click Complete Working. All records are finalized and the working becomes a read-only audit trail.

• Set up the working the day before.
• Use Smart Groups to load animals.
• Set default dosages on treatment tasks.
• Order tasks the way you work the chute.
• Use EID scanning when possible.
• Don't skip the skip reason.
